2023 Nissan Altima Trim Levels
Choosing Your Ideal Model

The Nissan Altima is a market-leading sedan that combines expressive power with high comfort and style. The 2023 model is available in four trim levels, and here’s how their features compare.

2023 Nissan Altima S

All models in the 2023 Altima lineup are built around the same powertrain, centred on a 2.5L four-cylinder engine making a punchy 182 horsepower and 178lb-ft of torque. The output is fed through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) before reaching all-wheel drive as standard on every Canadian model.

Even at the base level, the Altima offers a generous suite of interior technology, starting with the 8-inch touchscreen display which is used to access infotainment features including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A six-speaker sound system is fed by sources including AM/FM/satellite radio, MP3, and an auxiliary input, while dual USB ports in the front row take care of charging duties.

The entry-level Altima S also provides a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assist systems, with highlights including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warnings with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-departure warnings, and driver alertness monitoring.

To complete the impressive range of features, the Altima S includes heated front seats and manual air conditioning for year-round comfort in all weather conditions.

Altima SR

The SR trim includes several enhancements to the exterior, with 19-inch alloy wheels, an exhaust finisher, and a rear spoiler adding a sports dimension to the profile. The sporty feel is further increased by the addition of paddle shifters to give greater hands-on control over the transmission.

Inside the cabin, the regular manual air conditioning is upgraded to a fully automatic dual-zone climate-control system, the cloth seating gains highlighted stitching, and the leather-wrapped heated steering wheel adds an extra touch of comfort.

Technology upgrades include a wireless charging pad, extra safety systems including intelligent lane intervention, and advanced cruise control with full-speed range holding and steering assist.

Altima SR Premium

The SR Premium sees several enhancements on the technology front, most obviously with the larger 12.3-inch touchscreen that now dominates the centre console, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot facility and a premium nine-speaker Bose audio system.

Smartphone integration is upgraded to wireless versions of both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while in-built navigation is now included with door-to-door instructions for completing your journey on foot if necessary. Lastly, automatic traffic sign recognition brings an extra element of convenience and safety to your drive.

Altima Platinum

Finally, the Altima Platinum offers several interior and exterior improvements that create a genuine sense of luxury in this top-level trim. First, the driver’s seat and side mirror are both power-adjustable with memory recall, and both side mirrors now have integrated turn signals for better visibility to other drivers.

All seats feature leather-appointed upholstery, and accent lighting and acoustic glass combine to create a more soothing, less fatiguing interior experience.

As a final tech touch, an intelligent around-view monitor is now available that gives a 360-degree bird’s eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings, greatly increasing the ease and safety of parking.
